The 17th Annual Kitchrie Festival of Indo-Caribbean Arts & Culture
The Kitchrie Festival pioneers the preservation and popularization of Heritage Art Forms brought from India to the Americas since 1838. These art forms were preserved in South American mainland countries as, Guyana, Suriname and Belize, and Caribbean islands like, Trinidad, Jamaica, Grenada, Guadeloupe and Martinique. Today, Richmond Hill known as "Little Guyana,” is the largest Population of Indo-Caribbean and South Asian Immigrants in New York State, where our cultural arts continue to thrive.
