RCC's Kitchrie Festival pioneers the preservation and popularization of Heritage Art Forms brought from India from the Americas since 1838. These art forms are were preserved in South American mainland countries as, Guyana, Suriname and Belize, and Caribbean islands like, Trinidad, Jamaica, Grenada, Guadeloupe and Martinique. Today, Richmond Hill known as "Little Guyana,” is the largest Population of Indo-Caribbean/South Asian Immigrants in New York State, where our cultural arts continue to thrive.
